# Getting started

> Request access, sign in and make your first short link in Linkaloo.

## 1. Get a seat

Linkaloo is a closed beta. [Request access](../../request-access/) with your email address. We write back when your seat is ready, with a link to sign in.

## 2. Make a link

Open **New link** and paste the address you want to send people to. Choose a back-half, or leave it empty and Linkaloo makes a random one. Add a title and tags if you like, and UTM fields if you count campaigns.

## 3. Share it

Copy the short link and put it where you want it: a video description, a post, a newsletter or a poster. Download the QR code of the link for print.

## 4. Read the clicks

The dashboard shows totals, clicks per day, top links, referrers, countries and devices. Open a link for its own page.

> A short link can be edited later. If the page it points to moves, change the destination and keep the link.
